Exploring Arenal Volcano & Punta Islita

Upon arrival at Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport, you will transfer to your beautiful accommodations at the foot of the Arenal volcano, a natural wonder with an iconic cone-shaped crater. Along the way there, you will see plantations of various agricultural crops, ornamental plants, and cattle ranches before reaching the surrounding area of La Fortuna. Your day ends with a beautiful welcome dinner at your hotel.

This morning, partake in a sunrise wellness class and set the intention for the day. Following breakfast, you will visit the Mistico Adventure Park to partake in a walking tour of the park's incredible hanging bridges. From the treetops, you will be able to appreciate an amazing view of the forest and see many of the species housed by this spectacular biological corridor. The rest of the day will be at your disposal to relax at the pool, partake in a wellness activity, or explore independently.

Welcome a new day with a fantastic wellness class this morning. After breakfast, you will get your heart pumping with a spectacular hike on the 1968 trail. Get an up-close view of the Arenal Volcano and the beautiful landscape that surrounds it. You will walk past local flora and fauna while taking in the views. The rest of the day remains at your disposal to relax in the pools of your hotel or to complement your visit with some other activity.

Greet the sunrise with a morning wellness practice before settling into an entire day at leisure. The hours are yours to fill with either relaxation by the thermal hot spring pools or more adventurous pursuits in the region of Arenal Volcano. Perhaps opt to book a spa treatment or shop in the town of La Fortuna. Tonight, enjoy traditional Costa Rican fare with an included dinner at your resort.

Once you arrive at your hotel, the afternoon remains free for you to relax or explore. End the day with an early evening guided hike. Hike up to our secret scenic viewpoint and watch as the sunset´s perfect hues of pink and orange cover the Guanacaste skyline

After breakfast, choose to partake in a morning stretch during your wellness class. The rest of the morning is at leisure to explore or relax at the hotel and beach. In the afternoon, you will embark on a kayaking trip or Blue Zone Food Tour Experience. The Blue Zone Experience is a captivating culinary adventure through the heart of Punta Islita, where you will have the opportunity to savor the local cuisine . Explore the picturesque towns, landscapes, and beaches surrounding Punta Islita. Shop and sample regional dishes while you learn about Guanacaste's traditional rural lifestyle and what makes it a Blue Zone region. What is a Blue Zone? In these exceptional areas known as Blue Zones, it is believed that individuals enjoy longer-than-average lifespans, making it an intriguing destination for those seeking insight into healthy living practices and longevity. The Mangrove Kayaking journey will take place adjacent to a secluded beach where the mangrove setting provides each paddler with a maze of densely vegetated water channels and wildlife all around you.
